Sending Messages to your Invitees

Once you have added the invitee(s), you can also send messages to them. This article focuses on the steps you can follow to send messages to your invitee(s).

Step 1: Select the Event

Once on the My Events dashboard, select the required event. Doing so takes you to the selected event's details screen.

Step 2: Click 'Invitees'

From the left navigation bar, click Invitees. Doing so takes you to the Invitees screen.

Step 3: Click 'Message to Invitees'

From the left navigation bar, click Message To Invitees. This takes you to the Message to Invitees screen. Here, the default message template for Invitation and Abandon are listed.

Step 4: Click 'Add Message +'

Click the Add Message + button. Doing so opens the Add Message popup.

Step 5: Select Message Type

Select the message type whether you want to send an invitation or an abandon registration message.

Step 6: Click 'Add Message'

Once the message type is selected, click the Add Message button.

Step 7: Edit Message

As you select the message type, the template for the selected message type is displayed. Here, use the message body to edit the message.

To include placeholders, click Placeholders hyperlink. Doing so opens the Placeholders Text popup from where you can select the placeholders by clicking the copy to clipboard button for the placeholder you want to include. Once selected, click Done.

To reset the template, click the Reset hyperlink.

Step 8: Select When to Send

Use the When dropdown displayed under the When to Send heading to select when the message will be sent.

Step 9: Select Invitees

In case you want to send the message to all invitees, disable the Send only to New Invitees toggle button.

Step 10: Edit Message Information

Email

To disable email invitation, disable the Enable Email toggle button.

Use the Subject field to edit the subject of the message.

Edit the value displayed in From using the From field.

Edit the reply to email address using the Reply-to Email Address field.

To set this as the default invitation message, enable the Set as Default Invitation toggle button.

SMS

To view SMS invitation, click SMS.

To enable SMS invitation, turn on the Enable SMS toggle button. This displays the SMS invitation message template.

Step 11: Select Branding

By default, brand logo is set to display on the invitation message. To set a header image, click the Header Image button.

Click the thumbnail displayed in header image to choose a header image from your system storage.

Step 12: Select Buttons

In case you do not want to include Yes and No buttons in the message, disable the Include Yes and No Buttons toggle button.

Use the Yes field to edit the text displayed in the Yes button.

Similarly, edit the text displayed in the No button from the No field.

Step 13: Message Actions

To perform actions on the opened message template, click the Actions dropdown. This reveals a number of options.

To send a test message, click Send a Test.

To delete the message, click Delete.

To duplicate the message, click Duplicate.

Step 14: Save or Set Live

To save and close the message, click the Save & Close button.

To set the message live, click the Set Live button.
