Like the other features available for the registration form, you can also setup promo codes for the registration form. In this article, we will take a detailed look into how you can setup promo codes for the registration form.
Step 1: Select the Event
Once on the My Events dashboard, select the required event. Doing so takes you to the selected event's details screen.
Step 2: Select Tickets & Reg
Once on the Event Details screen, click the Tickets & Reg toggle button. This takes you to the Registration Form screen.
Step 3: Click 'Promo Codes'
From the left navigation bar, click Promo Codes. Doing so takes you to the Promo Codes screen.
Step 4: Click 'Add code +'
Once on the Promo Codes screen, click the Add code + button. This opens the New Promo Code panel on the right side.
Step 5: Select Promo Type
Choose the type via which you want to offer the promo from the buttons displayed at the top. By default, it is set to Amount Off. However, you can select Percentage Off or Volume Based.
Step 6: Enter Promo Name
Use the Name field to enter the name of the promo.
Step 7: Select Automatic Application
In case you want the promo code to apply automatically, enable the Apply Code Automatically toggle button.
Step 8: Enter Promo Code
Use the Code field to enter the promo code.
Step 9: Select Promo Code Quantity
Use the Available Quantity dropdown to select the quantity for the promo codes. By default, it is set to Limited To. In case you select this, enter the number of tickets to which the promo code would apply.
In case you select Unlimited, no field is displayed.
Step 10: Enter Discount Amount
Use the Discount Amount field to enter the discount amount offered via this promo code.
Percent Off
In case you select percent off, enter the percentage discount in the Percent Off field.
Volume Based
In case you select volume based, select Buy X and Get Y from the When to Apply dropdown.
Once this is done, select the number of items bought after which the code applies from the Buy dropdown.
Select the promotion offered at buying the number of items selected from Buy dropdown using the Get dropdown.
Step 11: Select Promo Code Start Date/Time
Use the Promo Code Starts date selector and Start Time clock to set the date and time at which the promo code becomes usable.
Step 12: Select Promo Code End Date/Time
Use the Promo Code Ends date selector and End Time clock to set the date and time at which the promo code ends.
Step 13: Select Applicable Tickets
Mark the checkbox(s) displayed under the Apply code to heading for the ticket(s) to which the promo code applies. All the created tickets appear under this heading.
